Speilberg…entering the gaming industry???

Yes, Steven Speilberg is entering the video gaming industry, but not how you would expect.

Speilberg was expected to develop a game laden with visual effects with aspects of cinema. However, he shocked audiences and institutions by assisting to produce a “family friendly” puzzle game for the Nintendo Wii.

Speilberg joined with Ea Games to produce this game and they commented that ” Speilberg’s skill is to understand the player”.

Is there a future for mobile phone gaming?

Despite various institutions efforts to encourage mobile phone gaming over the past few years, it has never really caught on. The most well know phone games are probably snake or tetris.

However, Game developer believe that by improving the technology by using touch screens, new dimensions and better console power the mobile phone gaming industry can become fast growing and ensure us that it is expanding quickly.

Game creators look to the future…

The link below shows how developers of some of the world’s most popular video games are meeting in conference and discussing the future of video games this week. The conference is also going to be discussing the strong influence of mobile gaming.

New features of the “X-box live service” are expected to be revealed at this conference.
